Form Attachment

When there's a need to reach for something because of an inner lack you become attached to form. Until this is seen, you remain attached as you seek to fill your inner lack with the next thing reached for…

You will never fill your inner lack by attaching to form because form is the creator of the inner lack. Completeness is something that's already within everyone, but because of the way our minds are conditioned you get attached to form which makes you think completeness is something outside of you. Unfortunately this attachment to form makes the very lack you are trying to fill impossible to fill. This attachment to form is the reason one is constantly reaching for something from the outside and until this is seen you will remain attached to a form that thinks completeness is in the next thing reached for. Alcohol, gambling, drugs, sex, religion, social status, programs, therapy, self help books, politics, and on and on, this reaching is proof that there is attachment to form. I can't stress this enough as this attachment to your form has to be seen if you are to experience completeness in your life.

It's impossible to think your way to understanding this. What has to happen if there’s to be an understanding of this is why you’re attached to a form is because of the inability to just be. When the need to reach for something arises, the attachment to form begins. This attachment to form is a vicious cycle that's very difficult to break. Breaking free of form and experiencing completeness isn't something attained or achieved so it's in doing less that completeness is experienced. To many people get lost (attached) in trying to find completeness through the attachment to form, but since it's within you attachment is a circle because it becomes about finding what’s already there.
