Selfish Box Trap

What is considered the selfish box entraps most people to the destructiveness that this enforces. Unless you can go beyond this, there will be acceptance of the destructiveness of the selfish box…

Stepping outside of the selfish box as far as thinking goes is a must if one is to go beyond the destructiveness of this box. You may ask why would a person want to go beyond the selfish box, here’s why. The so called selfish box is based in form and to be attached to form causes suffering. It’s as simple as that, selfishness pushes attachment to the senses (form). Life attached to form still occurs, it just isn’t experienced as beneficial as it can be. There will still be experiences simply because you’re alive, but they will be dictated by the selfishness and there’ll be much suffering associated with them. The selfish box entraps you to the destructiveness selfishness enforces. Unless you can see this to go beyond it, there will be acceptance of the selfish box. It’s an easy trap to get caught in because the selfishness uses delusion to distract you.

Selfishness also plays right into the reward system of attaching to form. Who does anything that doesn’t have the reward of pleasure associated with it? This can be applied to just about anybody and anything. When was the last time you purposely did something that you knew was going to be unpleasant with no reward attached to it? This is pivotal in understanding the process of the Conditioned Mind and the way the selfishness cause suffering. Until you don’t attach to what arises, without judging it or associating it with pleasure, the selfish box will be what dictates the life you’re living. And it will be destructive based on the attachment to the selfish box…

Enticed Reaching

The most important thing to understand about enticed reaching is the less attachment there is to “I” the less you will be enticed to reach for something you think is needed for satisfaction…

Enticed reaching is so powerful because what’s reached for is actually satisfying; this is why enticed reaching is so addicting. There’s issue with this because of the impermanent nature of being satisfied. Satisfaction simply will not last, it has no staying power so something will always be needed following the attainment of whatever is reached for. Think about it, with all the things you have been enticed to reach for throughout your life regardless of what it was, it doesn’t bring the satisfaction now that it brought at that time. Most times, even if the same exact thing is physically repeated it’s usually not as satisfying as the first experience. I used so many things as I was enticed by my reaching conditioning, but it never lasted; the next enticed reaching always arose. This went on all the time, reaching for one thing after another and never staying satisfied.

I’ve come to understand this enticed reaching as the main reason people start using and become addicted to things. If needing satisfaction wasn’t sought, nothing would be reached for so there would never be an addiction. Unfortunately, enticed reaching has its way with people. It’s deeply ingrained in the subconscious and has been in place since the beginning of human form. I know this enticed reaching is what controlled me for forty nine years and it was directly associated with “I”. Without “I” no one is there to be enticed. Even with this understanding enticed reaching doesn’t just disappear, but it does subside somewhat. To me, the most important thing to understand about this is, the less attachment there is to “I” the less you will be enticed to reach because without “I” there’s no one who needs the next satisfaction…

Controlling Lies

Whatever controls you and makes you think it’s needed to be happy, it becomes your lie. It’s not right or wrong, but the key is to understand if being controlled by a lie will truly provide what you think it will…

To me, whoever is looked upon for inspiration or whatever, it should be noted that most likely they didn’t always see things as they do now. I’m fortunate to have experienced two totally different ways of viewing life. It’s where my insights arise from and the reason why I share what I do. Having been controlled by lies for so many years has actually become my greatest asset. When I write about something it’s always from a lie that’s been exposed. It’s never about being smarter or knowing more than anyone else; what’s there is simply what’s there and it’s what’s shared. When I talk about quietness or stillness it’s because I was controlled by lies which is a life full of noise. When there’s talk of attachment, it’s because attachment is the master lie.

Everyone who is alive experiences life, it’s what’s done with the experiences that determines if you’re controlled by lies. An example is if you think you need to have material things to be happy, you will be controlled by that lie. It’s not right or wrong, but the key is to understand if the lie will provide what you think it will. Deep down inside having material things doesn’t change you.

For me, I went through a life of much suffering, always controlled by the lie of what my Conditioned Mind made me believe was happiness; today I see this for the lie that it is. When I write something it’s because I can see the lie that controlled me; today I have been provided with a view of true liberation. I’m very direct in my approach, but I’m not insensitive to anyone else’s view, it’s just that I’ve been controlled by lies for far too long, and because of this I can see that way too many are still controlled by them…
